About this policy

This policy applies to the DPM Prep website at dpmprep.com and its account, learning, and support features. DPM Prep is an educational platform for podiatric medical students, not a healthcare service.

Third-party websites, sign-in providers, and embedded viewers have their own privacy policies. This policy does not replace those policies.

Information we handle

  • Account and profile information: email address, name, school, expected graduation year, profile image, account identifiers, and saved preferences. When you use a social sign-in provider, account information is handled through that provider and our authentication service.
  • Study records: answers, scores, course and question identifiers, progress, completion records, live-game participation, and timestamps. These records are kept private and are not shared with other students or any third party.
  • Activity and technical information: signed-in page visits, visit times, last activity, service diagnostics, and private sign-in security records containing the first-observed session time and approximate country, region or city when provided by the network. Network-reported locations can be inaccurate or unavailable, particularly with VPNs and shared networks. These records do not contain precise GPS coordinates or raw IP addresses. Hosting and embedded services may also process connection and device information when your browser connects to them.
  • Who can see this information: study and activity records are private to your account. They are never displayed publicly, sold, or shared with advertisers or other students. Live-game participants see only the shared scores and names of that single game session.
  • Messages and reports: support emails, question flags, and information you choose to include in them.
  • AI tutor requests: conversation messages and relevant page or question context sent when you use the tutor.
  • Account and platform records: account status and historical reporting records.

Do not upload or send identifiable patient information, medical records, passwords, or other sensitive information in tutor chats, reports, or support messages.

How information is used

We use information to provide sign-in and account management, save learning progress, deliver study features and tutor responses, show results, and respond to support requests.

Information is also used to deliver account emails and enabled live-game alerts, investigate errors, review flagged questions, enforce platform rules, and protect accounts. Live-game participants can see the game’s shared participant and result information.

Service providers and external content

DPM Prep uses external services to operate its features. Relevant information is processed by those services when a feature is used:

  • Lovable Cloud and associated infrastructure: website hosting, account authentication, application records, profile images, and transactional email delivery.
  • Google, Apple, and Microsoft: optional social sign-in, subject to each provider’s policies.
  • OpenAI: tutor messages and relevant lesson or question context are sent for response generation. Tutor requests disable response storage through the API request setting, but this does not mean the provider performs no processing or retains no operational data.
  • Sketchfab: anatomy model viewers connect to Sketchfab when models load. Its policies govern information processed by its embedded viewer.
  • Telegram: service activity alerts may include a student’s name and signup or return-visit information.
  • Cloudflare: website traffic protection and approximate network location information used for security records. Firewall alerts may include an IP address for investigating suspicious traffic.
  • Google Fonts: your browser connects to Google to load the site’s fonts.

Providers may process information outside your country. We may also disclose information when required by applicable law or when necessary to investigate abuse, protect rights, or secure the service.

Cookies and browser storage

Authentication uses browser storage and, where needed, session cookies to keep you signed in. Browser storage also remembers settings such as appearance, expanded menus, timer state, and notification read status. Some anatomy trainer progress is saved locally on your device.

Clearing browser data can sign you out and remove device-local settings or progress. Blocking cookies or browser storage may prevent some features from working. External sign-in services and embedded viewers may use their own cookies or similar technology.

Security and retention

Account access is restricted through authentication and access controls. No internet service or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure; keep your sign-in details private and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access.

Information is retained as needed to operate the service, maintain study records, handle support, protect the platform, and meet applicable obligations. Retention varies by record and service provider; there is no single fixed retention period for all information.

Removing an account does not necessarily erase every historical reporting record, archived record, backup, or provider log immediately. Contact us about a deletion request so we can explain the scope and any applicable limitations.

Your choices and privacy requests

You can update available profile fields and preferences from your account, including appearance and live-game email alerts. You can choose not to use optional social sign-in or the AI tutor.

Depending on the laws that apply to you, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Email support@dpmprep.com to make a request. We may verify your identity before providing information or changing an account.

DPM Prep is intended for students in podiatric medical education, not for children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can investigate.

Changes to this policy and contact

We may update this policy as the platform or its practices change. The date at the top identifies the latest version; material changes will be communicated as appropriate.
